10" x 14" sepia photograph of Rev. Monsignor William E. Cashin, chaplain of Sing Sing Prison. Inscription reads: "To my valued friend, Lewis E. Lawes, whose friendship, like a rare gem, vears close scrutiny and wears with time." Rev. William E. Cashin was the first resident chaplain of Sing Sing Prison, where he served for twelve years (1912-1924).
